The Shikansen train in Japan has been around for many years, since the 1960s. The route goes in a straight line from the bottom of the main island to the top of it, going through, big cities like Osaka, Tokyo, and Niigata.

High Speed Rail in the UK


The UK currently has high speed rail, but instead of changing track for the train, they decided to use the same track used for High Speed Rail as the one for regular train. This is a major aspect in Great Britain's thinking, for the turns in the track are so tight, that they had to come up with their own type of train to keep it on the track.

In the United States, President Barack Obama reserved 8 billion dollars for the development of high speed rail in the country. California, after proposition 1A was passed, could not give the bonds needed to start the project, so they took some of the 8 billion and are starting by the seperation of grades, since that would take a while, and they have the time.

Hello, everyone who is reading this blog. This that I am writing about is High Speed Rail, otherwise known as HSR. This will go into detail about improvments and developments in HSR, such as the rail in France, Japan, Taiwan, and California.
